The Peoples Democratic Party PDP’s Presidential Candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, have visited Jos to commiserate with People of Plateau State, and the Party over the death of some supporters which occured near Panyam bridge on Saturday while returning from Pankshin (Central Zone), the state’s just concluded Zonal Rallies.

The PDP presidential candidate was in Jos alongside, leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), led by the the party’s National Chairman Iyorchia Ayu.

The delegation was also at the residence of former governor of the state, Jonah David Jang, where they were received by the state party leadership alongside the party’s Governorship Candidate Barr. Caleb Mutfwang.

Atiku, visited the University Teaching Hospital (JUTH) where victims were receiving treatments.

The presidential candidate sympathised with the state, and prayed for the repose of the souls of the deads and wished the injured speedy recovery.

He announced also announced a donation of 30 million naira for the medical bills and treatment of the injured.

Ayu on his part expressed the party’s condolences and on behalf of the party donated the sum of 10 million naira to the victims.

Other party chieftains in the delegation were former Vice President Namadi Sambo, former Senate President Bukola Saraki as well as other members of the presidential campaign council.

Recalled, The Plateau State governorship Candidate of the Party, Barr Caleb Mutfwang, had visited the Jos University Teaching Hospital (JUTH), to see the accident victims.

Mutfwang, who was seen in tears, drove straight from the campaign venue to JUTH, where the victims were receiving medical treatment, sympathized with the injured and their families and prayed for a full recovery.

He was earlier recieved at the Yakubu Gowan Airport by party Leadership led by the State chairman Engr. Chris Hassan, Elders Statesmen, Ambassador Yahaya and Kwande, Ambassador Bagudu Hirse.
